The Coalition of Against COVID-19, CACOVID, has donated a-hundred bed space and other medical equipment to Kwara State Government as part of its support in the fight against the dreaded disease.

Speaking at the commissioning of the facility held at the state isolation centre, Alagbado, Ilorin, a member of the CACOVID, Mrs Grace Olagunju explained that the donation is part of contributions from private sector organizations to support the war against the pandemic which has killed hundreds of thousand of people around the world

Mrs Olagunju explained that, as corporate responsible organizations it is important to compliment government’s efforts targeted at monitoring and maintaining the well being of COVID-19 patients and called for concerted effort in the fight against the deadly disease.

The CACOVID member noted that the interest of the coalition is to see to the health and well being of kwarans adding that more facilities and palliative will be donated to the state in the due course.

Representative of Kwara State Government and Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Dr Femi Oladiji while commissioning the facilities appreciated the support of the private sector saying it will go a long way to assist government to win the fight against the pandemic.

It was observed that apart from the one hundred bed space, other items donated include masks, monitors, oxygen among others and it was witnessed by the Chairman CACOVID in Kwara, Mr Femi Akapo and other members.
