Good morning Everyone.

Our hero, our legend and selfless distinguished soldier and gentleman, Late Major-General Emmanuel Olumuyiwa Abisoye (rtd) left this sinful and fallen world on 17th March, 2017 at the age of 81. A memorial service was held for him on Saturday, 29th September, 2018 and an inaugural lecture given by Ambassador Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari was held on Saturday, 13 July, 2019 at Samuel Ogbemudia Library Complex, main Campus of the University of Abuja.
We remember him today as always and we have remained proud as ever of his achievements while on earth. As succinctly put by our astute and indefatigable Chairman, Major-General David Jemibewon (rtd) mni, CFR, ‘it is in recognition of this Great War lord’s lasting legacies, outstanding administrative and military career that this Foundation was set up. Its main aim is to establish and foster a community-based strategic framework for human capital development, social justice and empowerment of the youth and vulnerable groups through the engagement of people in response to cross-cutting societal issues and many more. This would keep his memory, selfless and patriotic service to the nation and humanity fresh in the minds of Nigerians’ (page 18 of the Programme of events for the Inaugural Pubic Lecture held Saturday 13 July, 2019).
As we remember our late patriot who ‘served this country with dedication and distinction’ (President Obasanjo, page 19 of the Programme of events for the Inaugural Pubic Lecture held Saturday ,13 July, 2019) may our resolve to continue to mark his memory and legacies receive greater buoyancy and vibrancy today.
Sleep on peaceful at the bosom of our God Almighty. The legend, Late Major-General Emmanuel Olumuyiwa Abisoye (rtd), lives on……
