The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, on Friday, joined His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kogi, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to sign into Law two important bills passed by the Assembly, which is in consonance with the provision of Section 100 (3) of the Constitution
of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) as amended.
“After your Assent, a copy of the Law will be sent to the Assembly and the Judiciary respectively for their records while the third copy of the Law will be retained by the Governor office for the use by the Executive Arm of Government,”
While making the presentation during the plenary setting earlier , the speaker noted in his address that the two bills are of great importance to the state and therefore requires indepth and accelerated consideration of the members of the assembly urging them to accord the bills the necessary attention it deserves.
Recall that the kogi State Executive council recently approved the establishment of a state university in kabba in the Okun speaking area of the State.
