Secretary of the Katsina State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Aliyu Yunusa Kofar-soro has died after a brief illness at the age of 48.
A two-time former Vice Chairman of NUJ Katsina, and staff of the State Television Service Aliyu Yunusa is survived by his wife and six children.
chairman of the state council of NUJ, Alhaji Tukur Dan-Ali said Yunusa’s death has thrown the NUJ family in Katsina State into mourning.
Also commenting on his death, the state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari said NUJ Katsina has lost a gentleman that had served the union with utmost dedication.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Malam Abdu Labaran, Governor Masari prayed for the repose of late Aliyu Yunusa’s soul and urge the NUJ family to emulate the deceased’s virtues
