Results of Local Government Council poll held yesterday in Benue have been released with the Peoples Democratic Party winning all the Chairmanship and Councillorship seats across the twenty three Local Government Areas.
The Chairman, Benue State Independent Electoral Commission,
Mr Tersoo Loko stated that five political parties, AAC, APGA, PDP, Labour Party and SDP participated in the poll.
The BSIEC Chairman who appreciated all stakeholders including politicians, electorate, Security and the media for their Co- Operation which enhanced the success of the exercise,
said certificates of return are to be issued the winners tomorrow.
Our correspondent reports that seven women were elected out of the twenty three Local Government Areas.
