The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Security Matters in charge of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has resumed office as the Chief Security Officer of the Council even as supporters organized special prayers for the repose of our dear mother, late Hiajia Hawawu Bello.
It could be recalled that arrangements were concluded by supporters and stakeholders to give him a resounding welcome back to office on Monday 16th March, 2020 before the announcement of the passing away of Hajia Hawawu Bello, the mother of Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello.
The Council Chief Security Officer however choose to resume office today with a special prayer in honour of our dear mother, a woman of virtue and the matriarch of Bello family, Late Hajia Hawawu Bello. The prayer which was attended by leading Islamic clerics in Ebiraland, Sheikh Isa Sambai, Sheikh Muhammad Nasir, Alh. Lawal among others beseech Allah to grant the deceased Aljana Firdause.
Also in attendance were the Chairman of Elder Advisory Council in Kogi Central Alh. Yahaya Karaku, and all ward council elders, Okene/Ogori Magongo, Alh. Sheriff, Hon. Hamzat Amewuru, Hajia Juwa Omadivi, GYB political support groups, traditional rulers, market women, artisans, youth organization and supporters of Chairmanship ambition of Hon. Abdulrazaq Muhammad.
In his address, Hon. Abdulrazaq described the late matriarch as a role model to the younger generation, an embodiment of character and a woman of varlor, May her soul rest in peace (Ameen). He expressed gratitude to Gov. Yahaya Bello for the opportunity to serve his people and promised to do his best to ensure the Council remain peaceful.
