Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor, accompanied by fellow lawmakers: Hon. Anthony Ujah (Olamaboro), Hon. Hillarion Collins (Omala) and Hon Rai Daninya (Basa); as well as community leaders earlier (today, 18th July, 2020) inspected erosion sites in Igalamela/Odolu local Government Area.

The lawmakers in different remarks, appealed to the Federal and Kogi State Government to come to the aid of the affected areas.

Some of the most vulnerable areas identified by the Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor include: Ikare-Ojokuta road, Ayikpele-Okpe-Imere, Ibochi-Ikelegwu-Aya road, LGEA (NA) Primary School and Emachi Road (Ajaka)

Recall that the lawmaker representing the Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor on August 2019 drew the attention of the Kogi State Project Coordinator of the Nigerian Erosion and Watershed Management Project, Lokoja, in a detailed letter containing the erosion pictures and descriptions.

Barr. Atabor revisit to the erosion sites is to assess the level of havoc created by the ravaging erosion and equally to appeal to the government for speedy intervention.
