Hon. Oshaloto tackles insecurity in Yagba West Through Vocational Training …Partners With Ajaokuta Metallurgical Training Institute Toba Abraham – Ajaokuta

In an effort to tackle the high rate of unemployment and insecurity in his local government area, the Senior Special Assistant,
(SSA) on Security in charge Yagba West, Hon. Tade Oshaloto on Thursday led Stakeholders to Ajaokuta Steel Complex, Ajaokuta, seeking the collaboration of the company in youth development and empowerment.

Hon. Tade attributed unemployment as largely responsible for the surge in crime rate and insecurity hence the need to be strategic in addressing the challenges it posed.

Speaking at the complex, Hon. Oshaloto
said adopting preventive measure through special skills acquisition, creative and vocational training would enhance citizens’ productivity and self reliance.

He assured the stakeholders and the management of ASCL of his determination and commitment to ensure that the partnership of Yagba West people with the steel company produces mutual benefits.

Oshaloto expressed his appreciation to the management and Staff of ASCL for accepting to train his people in different vocations. He ssured the manageent that the council area and its leadership will not betray the trust reposed in them.

Also speaking, the Director of Local Government (DLG), Yagba West, Mr. Oshagbemi Sunday commended Hon.Tade for his lofty ideas and creative approach which he has demonstrated since assumption of office as chief security officer of the local government.

The DLG also eulogized the management of the Steel company for their understanding and cooperation with Yagba West LGA as its strives to add value to the lives of her citizens.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) state leader, Chief Gbenga Asagun who was the first Executive Chairman of Yagba West thanked the management of ASCL for the warm reception and support to the people of Yagba West.

He specially thanked the SSA security for puting the interest of the people first.

Commenting on the importance of the move, Hon Aderonke Aro, Member, Kogi State House of Assembly representing Yagba West constituency, described the empowerment initiative of Hon. Tade as most effective and efficient ways to go.

He urged the people not only to embrace the opportunities the program would bring but continue to support the SSA.

Conducting the people round the complex and training facility, the General Manager Engineering, Engr. Jide Suru assured the people that the facility in not only the best in the country but that it is a world class training facility with qualified instructors.

He commended the delegation for their decision to visit and which gave them a firsthand information and assessment of the Steel company and the training institute, saying such a sacrifice shows their commitment and love for good governance.
