IG Disbands SARS Nationwide

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has announced the disbandment of the Special Antirobbery Squad (SARS).

IGP Adamu announced this in a tweet on Sunday.

This comes after days of nationwide protests against SARS over allegations of brutality and extra-judicial killings against the police unit.
