The kidnapped wife and children of late former Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Zakawanu Garuba, have regained freedom over six hours after their abduction on Saturday
Mrs Hassana Garuba and her three children, the aged mother of the late speaker were reportedly kidnapped around the Lokoja Okene-Auchi section of -Benin Highway.
They were reportedly kidnapped on their way from Abuja to Auchi to bury Garuba, who died of undisclosed ailment in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja
A younger brother to the deceased Speaker who did not want to be named, reportedly confirmed the release of the widow by her abductors.
He however said that the whereabouts of the driver still remained unknown
