Kogi Assembly Confirms appointments of 3 nominees
Kogi State House of Assembly has screened and cleared three nominees forwarded to it by Governor Yahaya Bello.
The nominees were taken through questions and answers sessions at the Committee of the Whole House today.
The nominees are Hon.Abdulraheem Ohiare to serve as the Executive Chairman Kogi State Security Trust Fund.
Hon. Abdulrazaq Mohammed to serve as Executive Chairman Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board while Hon. Sule Saliu Enehe is to serve as Executive Chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service.
The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf charged the nominees to work hard and bring their wealth of experience to bear in their areas of assignments.
The nominees in their separate remarks after the screening promised to justify the confidence reposed in them and thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for finding them worthy to serve in their various capacities.
Earlier at Plenary, the Member representing Okene 11 Constituency, Hon. Yusuf Zakari Eneve commended Governor Yahaya Bello for ensuring smooth process in the selection of the new Paramount ruler in Ebiraland which saw to the emergence of His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Mohammed Anaje.
The House thereafter congratulated the Royal Father and the people of Ebiraland for the development and wished the royal father a successful reign on the throne.
The House also paid glowing tribute to the fallen heros in the country haven served to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria and observed a minute silence in their honour.
