Kogi State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Richard Osaseyi as the first General Manager of the State Signage and Advertisement Agency.
The confirmation followed his nomination by Governor Yahaya Bello in a letter transmitted to the House and read by the Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole.
Mr. Osaseyi, who is the Chairman of Osaseyi Foundation, a Non Governmental Organization that has empowered students, teachers, youths as well as women after reading his citation was unanimously asked to take a bow and leave.
Speaking with Newsmen, the New General Manager expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for the opportunity given to him to serve the State.
Mr. Osaseyi, promised to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his responsibility particularly management of signage and Advertisement in the State.
He assured that he would use his office to attract Companies to advertise in the State, saying that the first Digital Signage would soon be mounted in the State.
Mr. Osaseyi also stated that the Agency would be used to project the giant strides of the New direction administration to the entire world.
According to him, with the constitution of the Governing Board of the Agency, machinery would be set on motion to kick the ball rolling in checking indiscriminate defacing of public places and buildings with posters and billboards.
