It was a night full of so much fun, nostalgia and glamour.
The World Bank lived up to it’s billing as an organization true to it’s world as being effective in service delivery and proficient in rewarding excellence
The senior environmental specialist and Task Team leader of NewMap Dr.Joy Agene was euphoric and did not mince words when she said that Newmap and it’s staff across the 23 states of implementation deserved all the accolades since it’s had among other things, exceeded all the targets of the World Bank.Also the lives of over 12 million Nigerians have been enhanced through its implementation…
During the course of the very colorful events retirees from Newmap where also honored and celebrated but the climax of the event was the award ceremony, were Kogi Newmap carted away:
1)The Best performing state in the second Tier Newmap states category.
2)The Best Environmental Safeguard Officer
3) Runners – up in Grievance Redress Mechanism and Catchment Management.
An elated Hon.Min of Environment represented by a special adviser Special in his office, Sanni Abdullahi in his goodwill message, congratulated Newmap for its Wonderful feat of being the best project on innovation and results and also the best performing project in the World Bank.
An overjoyed Project Coordinator of Kogi Newmap ,Barr Ladi Ahmed Jatto while receiving the Awards attributed the Success of the project to God Almighty and the untiring support of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, The Executive Governor of Kogi State to the project.
