Kogi West Senatorial Election: Engineer Oluwasegun Joseph Commences Consultations
As part of strategic political move to solicit the support of party leadership towards the party primaries, a leading Senatorial Aspirant for Kogi West, Engineer Joseph Olusegun has commenced wide range of consultations with critical stakeholders and party leadership across the seven local government areas of Kogi West, canvasing their support for his aspiration.
According to a statement issued by the media team, it stated that Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun who is not taking the party leadership for granted decided to take the consultation to their doors.
He said since he had agreed to throw his hat into the ring, there is therefore the need for him to go round, and share his vision with the people so that everybody can keyed in to it for the betterment of all.
“I am taking the bull by the horn, I am leading the movement, to champion the cause for the political liberation and economic emancipation of our people”
“Our people deserve the best in life, hence I am heeding to the clarion calls of our people who believe in my capacity to provide the best alternative for the good people of Kogi West.” He expressed.
Engr. Joseph said he is not going to be distracted by several campaigns of calumny embarked upon by certain elements, aimed at smearing his hard earned reputation but will be more focused in his efforts towards the realization of his ambition.
He said, that he eminently qualified, as prescribed and guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, and as a pure Yagba Man, he is too firm to be intimidated.
The senatorial hopeful urged the All Progressive Congress- APC leadership and critical stakeholders of the party to give him all the support, promising not to let them down.
In all the wards and Local Government visited, the party leaders thanked Joseph for answering the calls of the people and for coming around to share his dream with them.
They acknowledged Engr. Joseph’s contribution to the party and his supports to individuals and groups describing him as God sent, who have consistently being a pillar for the APC in the state.
They assured him of their preparedness to work with him, encouraged him not to look back as he progresses.
