In a bid to reform and harmonise the IGR of Mopamuro Local Government, the Council boss, Hon. Ademola Bello Destiny has drawn the curtain with immediate effect on all the consultants undertaking revenue activities on behalf of the Local Government.
This move is born out of the Chairman’s commitment to look inward in order to increase revenue generation to the Local Government purse and for the new regime to achieve this cardinal objective the viability of the revenue sources across the LGA must be examined, revamped and restructured, according to the council boss.
A Committee of 7 is hereby set up for a period of one week to takeover from the various consultants and centralised their remittance to the appropriate Local Government account and submits report to the Chairman for onward consideration of proposals from individual consultnlant. The Committee members are: The Chief of Staff, Hon. Shina Adeniyi who doubles as the Chairman of the Committee, Fatope Francis Secretary, Hon. Wale Elekula SLG, SSA on Revenue, Hon. Akinyemi Oluwi, SSA Media, Hon. Idowu Akogun, PA to the Chairman, Olorundare Babatunde.
The Committee are instructed to be dedicated to the task at hand in order for the purpose of this step not to be in jeopardy.
