The newly sworn in caretaker chairman for Omala local government area, Edibo Ameh Mark has promised to make security of lives and property a priority.
He stated this while speaking to newsmen in Lokoja.
Mr Mark said the council had in the past seven years witnessed some form of insecurity as such he would work to ensure the protection of lives and property in the area in line with Governor Yahaya Bello security agenda.
He also promised to ensure infrastructural development of the area.
The new council boss called on everyone irrespective of their socio-political affiliation in the council to join hands with him in taking the local government to the next level.
Mr Mark who described Governor Yahaya Bello as an uncommon leader and a pace setter appreciated him for finding him worthy to serve as the council chairman.
