Emeritus Professor Olugbemiro Jegede pens down a memorial message of love.
In Commemorating the two years of transition to glory of his loving Mother, Emeritus Professor Olugbemiro Jegede, has penned down a message of remembrance in loving memory of his beloved Late mother, Mama Easter Iwalewa Anabisa Jegede.
According to the message made available to media men in Lokoja earlier today, he stated that “Today, 21st December 2023, marks exactly two (2) years of the transition of Mama from this fallen world. In everything, we, as Christians, must continue to thank the Lord. Mama is physically gone, but her spirit is still very much with us. Even within the past 2 years of her absence, we as a family and clans have a lot to thank God for. As our people often pray:
Bọ urun a ka rọn muro. Tẹgan Ẹdẹda ẹba ka bọ urun arọn muro.
While we pray for the continuous peaceful repose of her gentle and beautiful soul, I pray for an unparalleled surge in the unity and love amongst Iwalewa Egben, all that are hers, the Jegede and Ajobiewe-Ahonwa Clans, and the entire Ogori community which she always prayed for.
God bless us all as we live through and beyond the second memorial anniversary of Mama Esther Iwalewa Anabisa Jegede (nee Ajobiewe)”.
He chose these two choruses to thank God for the exceptional and tremendous legacy their late matriarch has left behind.
