Eventually, the lot fell on Alhaji Sule, as the ideal man to pull the service out of a history of disappointing and miserable IGR monthly performance in the neighborhood of 750 million naira under a low performing acting Chairman of the service.

Since his appointment in November 2021,Alhaji Sule had justified the total and unalloyed confidence reposed in him by all the stakeholders in the tax sector in Kogi State.

They have deployed both new technology and a hardworking human capital manpower in the service to ensure an achievement of the set target for 2024.

A visit to the headquarters of the service any day of the week would witness a very busy schedule of all and Sundry, as everyone is working very hard to justify the new enabling environment provided by the Executive Chairman, who was formerly the Director Tax audit and Compliance with the service, before his well deserved appointment to seat at the top of the Revenue House headquarters in Lokoja, the state capitol.

This independent Journalist is an experienced hand, who knows the whole history of the service since the days of the defunct Board of Internal Revenue till date.

True, the success story began immediately as the service started recording IGR in the neighborhood of N1.5B throughout the 8 glorious years of FGYB..
