Ododo, no doubt, has brought new concept and paradigm to the political and administrative prosperity to the state, as reference could be drawn to his Novel style of administration of inclusiveness and sensitivity since he assumed office as the Executive Governor of Kogi state. As God on his side, the good people of the state, are also his political army.
Some political pundits in the state who have come out to support his administration, have seen him as a liberal, detribalised, experience and committed politician to the growth and the rebirth of the state to prosperity; that Ododo, above all, has been a model and brand to the yearnings of the need of his people, as this attributes is enough to propel him to landslide victory at all seasons.
It is instructive that the legal battle as waged against Ododo election victory, by the Igala SDP candidate, Murtala Ajaka, was no doubt, clearly an ego trip and was not about the people and development, but the desire of a few political elites from the Kogi Eest, who have not clearly articulate any policy issue that will benefit Kogi people, but their desire is solely want their power back. What we are also hearing from their camp is “we are the majority, so power should return to us, claimed as their birthright”, sentiment and the incentivity that do not have place any more in the emerging new kogi of politics of stuff-like.
Ajaka, the SDP candidate, remain a drawing man who is clinging to a straw after the recent Appeal Court judgement that favours Ododo.
In the light of this, the political sagacity of this young man would no doubt surmount all the legal hurdles and would finally emerge victorious at all seasons. Despite all the stumbling blocks and mischievous media shenanigans, Ododo remain a victor in the legal battle. He is like a proverbial cat with nine lives. He is not a man of in-between, he is the guard-fly; you either love him passionately or hate him intensely. The truth life is fire, it can not be hidden under dry leaf.
Since he ventured in partisan politics, he has established himself with unwavering thirst fir excellence. He understands the political science of Kogi state, political landscape that has equipped him with the wherewithal for political diagnosis, giving him a physician’s grip of the political superstructure, hungry for perfection.
One of the landmark achievements since his assumption of office, is the prompt payment of state, local government and pensioners salaries and allowances, at when due.
Security of the state is one of his focal agenda, as he has provided necessary security gadgets for the vigilantes and local hunters in the state, for effective security operation. This has gone a long way to curtail the menace of the hoodlums in the state. He has also distributed food items to the people of the state to curtail the current hardship in the state in particular.
With the agitation for young people in the governance across the country, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, appears to be the perfect young energetic personality in the governance of Kogi state. His age has put him in advantage position to get second tenure in office, if he so desired to bid for.
Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, is by all standard, a vessel specially designed, equipped and modeled by Almighty Allah to fulfill destiny in Kogi State.
Let us linga the sentiment and emotion and face the reality, governor Usman Ododo, remain a victor in all seasons.
