It’s a universal fact, throughout all ages and throughout all creeds and civilizations that, consistency in pursuing one’s passion and an undying zeal to acquire more knowledge brings about professionalism and excellence in whatever one chooses to do.
Indeed, this universal fact is evident in the professional life of our energetic and mentally sound Accountant-General for Kogi State, Chief 
(Dr) Hajiya Habibat Aliyu Onumoko Tijani, whose present apex status in the financial sector and prudent management of the State resource can be traced to the time past when she held sway as, first, *Treasurer of Okene Local Government Area, second, as Chairperson for the 21 Local Government Areas’ Treasurers, third, as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Kogi State, and who presently sits as the substantive *Accountant-General for Kogi State*
This uncommon feat is by no means not a venture that any incompetent, unprepared and feeble-minded individual could have attained as it requires absolute competency, unwavering loyalty, commitments, capability, credible credentials and the necessary zeal to push on and weathered all the storms.
Historically, Kogi State office of the Accountant-General has never been manned by a woman hitherto. And just like the cliche goes, “whatever man can do, woman can do better”.
Today, we have a female Chartered Accountant, a woman of strong zeal and will, a highly energetic personality, a very spontaneous and mentally sound personality as the first *Female Accountant-General of Kogi State* and the results of her performance in office are there for all to see.
Today in Kogi State, prudence, accountability and transparency is the hallmark of the office of the Accountant-General of Kogi State.
In Kogi State today, salaries and pensions are being paid as and when due, whilst massive works are ongoing across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.
It goes without saying the fact that, this is an indication why most International Corporate Bodies, Organizations and Corporate Bodies more often than not, employ or appoint women to manage their finances.
Personally, I hope to see you assume the prestigious office of the *Accountant-General of the Federation* in the nearest future, Amen.
May the Accountant-General of Kogi State succeed
