
Ankpa, Kogi State — In a significant move to bolster local security, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, the Zonal Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government for Ankpa Federal Constituency, joined Hon. Ademu Mohammed Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government, in receiving the Commandant of the Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) during an official visit to the council.
The visit underscores the state government’s commitment to enhancing grassroots security through collaboration with local authorities and community-based security outfits.
During the meeting, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed commended the efforts of the KSVS in maintaining peace and order within the state. He emphasized the importance of synergy between the vigilante service and local government officials to effectively tackle security challenges in the region.
He also appreciated the Executive Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, for his unwavering commitment to securing the lives and property of the people of Kogi State.
Hon. Ademu Mohammed Yahaya expressed appreciation for the visit and reiterated the council’s readiness to support the vigilante service in its operations. He highlighted recent initiatives, including the donation of motorcycles to enhance patrol capabilities, as part of the council’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its residents.
The Commandant of the KSVS acknowledged the support from the local government and assured that the service would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property in Ankpa and its environs.
