As the world marks International Women’s Day, I join millions across the globe in celebrating the strength, resilience, and remarkable contributions of women to our families, communities, and society.
Women play vital roles in every part of society — as mothers, professionals, farmers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and public servants. Through their daily efforts and sacrifices, they contribute greatly to the growth and stability of our communities.
This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” is a call for all of us to do more to support women and girls. It reminds us that progress is possible when we intentionally create opportunities, promote fairness, and encourage the full participation of women in education, leadership, and economic development.
As Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and the representative of the good people of Ibaji, I remain committed to supporting policies and initiatives that uplift women, protect their rights, and help them reach their full potential.
Today, we celebrate the achievements of women and also renew our commitment to building a society where every woman and girl is respected, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed.
To all the amazing women in our homes, workplaces, and communities — thank you for all that you do.
