This year’s theme, “Beyond Clinical Practice: Building Impactful Careers in Health and Society on the Journey to Self‑Actualization,” reflects the Association’s growing emphasis on holistic professional development and the evolving role of medical practitioners in society.

Speaking ahead of the event, DUMSAA President Dr. Kennedy O. Obohwemu highlighted the significance of the meeting for the alumni community.
“Our profession is changing, and so are the expectations placed on medical practitioners,” he said. “This OGM is an opportunity for us to rethink our impact, reconnect with purpose, and explore new pathways for leadership within and beyond clinical spaces.”

The Association encourages all members to attend, noting that the session will offer opportunities for learning, networking, and strengthening professional bonds.

“We want our alumni to feel supported, inspired, and empowered,” Dr. Obohwemu added. “This gathering is more than a meeting — it is a step toward building a vibrant community that thrives both in service and in personal fulfillment.”
