The newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kogi State, Engr. Momoh Ezzu has pledged to return the party to its grassroots base by strengthening party structures at the polling unit and ward levels across the state.

The Chairman made this commitment during a grand reception rally organised in his honour by APC stakeholders in Kogi Central, held at Unyokoko Ward in Idoji, Okene Local Government Area.

Addressing party members, he emphasised the need to revitalise the APC’s grassroots presence, noting that sustainable political success depends on active participation at the lowest levels the party as an organization.

He called on members and supporters to intensify efforts in mobilising new members and encouraged eligible citizens to register with the party and be active in political activities at the ward level.

The Chairman also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his role in ensuring a smooth and credible state congress and the transition that led to his emergence, describing the process as a demonstration of internal democracy and unity within the party.

Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive leadership, he announced plans to embark on a statewide tour of all wards across the 21 local government areas to engage directly with party members, assess local structures, and strengthen cohesion within the APC.

In his remarks, the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Multilateral and Donor Funded Projects and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Abdullahi Ozomata, assured the new party leadership of unwavering support from stakeholders.

He also praised Governor Ododo for his efforts in deepening governance at the grassroots, noting that his administration has brought government closer to the people.

The event attracted a large turnout of party members, community leaders, and stakeholders, reflecting renewed enthusiasm within the APC in Kogi state.
