After about eight hours of brainstorming at a family like meeting today in Abuja, PST BABAGBEMI ADEJOLA(GB IRORUN) was unanimously chosen as a mopamuro candidate at the forthcoming House of representative election in APC.
In what looks like an endless agitation for mopamuro turn to represent Yagba Federal constituency, the stakeholders for the project came together to streamline the aspirants from five to one aspirant in a peaceful and family like process contrary to widely assumed expectations that it will be difficult to achieve.
A Three members committee under the chairmanship of Chief Salaudeen Ganiyu (Erukutu) supervised the exercise in a rancor free process. Others on the committee were Chief olatunda Dare, and Engr. Kayode Olomo with Hon Bisi Ojuola as the secretary. Other stakeholders present there to act as observers were, Commodore folusho Daniel Rtd, Chief Ayo Abereoran, Chief Makinde oyebode, Hon Jesse Abayomi oloke, Dr. Ayodele John (Delex).
Pst ADEJOLA is set to pick up his nomination form at the APC Secretariat which other aspirants; Engr. Meseko, Brig-Gen Ipinyomi, Hon. Seun Ibigbemi and Prof. Olafemi has promised to contribute money within themselves as a mark of solidarity for pastor Babagbemi in picking up the nomination form any moment from now.
The chairman of the committee, Chief Ganiyu charged PST. Babagbemi to be magnanimous in victory by carrying others along to proof to other Yagba towns that a right choice was made. Chief olatunda charged PST BABAGBEMI to buckle up and see it as a challenge to excel. On his part, Engr kayode Olomo said, he felt on top of the world for being privileged to witness such a rancor free process of selection as against widely held view. His joy according to him is premised on his love for justice, fairness and equity and believe that the future shall vindicate them for being a witness for this unique course.
Pst ADEJOLA promise to improve on what others have done if given the mandate at the forthcoming House of representative election. He looked forward to a blissful campaign exercise and promised to reconcile aggrieved APC members and work together as a united entity. Pst ADEJOLA is set to pick up his nomination form on Monday.
