APC Will Deliver Justice Over Kogi Central Primary — Momoh Obaro Campaign DG Urges Supporters to Stay Calm
The Director-General of the Momoh Obaro Campaign Organization, Hon. Isiaka Kokori-Abdul, has called on members of All progressives Congress, especially the supporters of Chief Momoh Obaro, an aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi Central Senatorial primary election, to remain calm and peaceful, expressing confidence that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will ensure justice prevails.
Hon.kokori – Abdul stated that the controversies surrounding the outcome of the senatorial primary election could have been avoided if the right procedures had been followed during the exercise.
According to him, the campaign organization has already submitted a formal complaint to the national secretariat of the APC, insisting that Chief Momoh Obaro won the primary election.
“It is public knowledge that we won the election. We are confident that the national leadership of the party will do justice to our complaint,” he said.
He urged supporters of the aspirant not to engage in violence or any act capable of disrupting peace, stressing that members of the APC must remain law-abiding and respect due process.
“I therefore call on all our supporters to remain calm and eschew violence. As law-abiding members of our great party, we cannot take the law into our hands,” he added.
Hon.kokori-Abdul warned that perpetrators of violence would be brought to justice and appealed to supporters of Chief Momoh Obaro to continue to conduct themselves peacefully while awaiting the party’s decision.
He also commended security agencies for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere during and after the primary election process, urging them to sustain the tempo.
“As we look forward to our candidate being declared the rightful winner, let us continue to keep hope alive,” he said.
