The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Member representing Ibaji State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, on Saturday, 11th July, 2026, joined the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, alongside other top government officials and dignitaries, in welcoming the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, to Kogi State during her one-day working visit to Lokoja.
During the visit, the First Lady commissioned the Kogi State Treasury House, the Kogi State Health Insurance House and the Primary Healthcare Centre at Lokongoma Phase I. She also launched the National Community Food 
Bank for the North Central Zone and flagged off the Renewed Hope Initiative Women Empowerment Programme, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to food security, quality healthcare and economic empowerment. Rt. Hon. Egwaba commended the impactful initiatives unveiled during the visit, describing them as significant strides towards improving the welfare and livelihoods of the people of Kogi State.
