

The Kogi State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker and Member representing Ibaji State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chief Deaconess Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, alongside the Chairman of Ibaji Local Government Council, Hon. Ugeh Onuche Emmanuel, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Timothy Ojomah, traditional rulers, political associates, stakeholders, party stalwarts and other supporters, warmly received the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, during his official visit to Ibaji on Sunday, 12th July, 2026.

n her official address, the lawmaker commended Governor Ododo for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, grassroots development and the overall progress of Kogi State. Rt. Hon. Egwaba drew the Governor’s attention to the critical infrastructural needs of Ibaji, particularly the construction of the Idah–Ibaji Road, as well as the healthcare and other economic challenges facing the constituency. She stressed the urgent need for sustained government intervention to improve accessibility, stimulate economic activities and enhance the overall well-being of the people.
Rt. Hon. Egwaba also reaffirmed her unwavering support for the administration of the Chief Servant of Kogi State and expressed confidence in the Governor’s commitment to fulfilling his promises to the people of Ibaji.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing the developmental and infrastructural needs of Ibaji. He disclosed that the designs for the major roads in the area are almost ready and assured the people that construction work will commence soon. The Governor reiterated his resolve to open up Ibaji through the delivery of durable and transformative road infrastructure. As part of the visit, he also distributed fertilisers and other agricultural support items to farmers to support wet season farming, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to food security and improved livelihoods. He further engaged directly with residents, listened to their concerns and assured them that every part of Kogi State would continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy as development reaches every community, one after another.
The Governor noted that his visit also provided an opportunity to appreciate the people of Ibaji for their overwhelming support during the last governorship election and to solicit their continued support for his administration as it remains committed to delivering meaningful development across Kogi State.
