Kwara Gov lauds KSAN For Fostering Devt

Stephen Olufemi Oni, Ilorin

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has described members of the Kwara State Association of Nigeria North America (KSANG) as outstanding ambassadors of the State.

The Governor, who was represented by a former Commissioner in the State, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin, spoke on Friday in Baltimore, United States, at the 10th Convention of KSANG.

The convention had as theme: “One People, One Vision: Strengthening Our Roots, Building Our Future.”

The Governor commended members of KSANG for their continued support and partnership with the state government, particularly for fostering development in the State.

“I commend you for being outstanding ambassadors of our State in your adopted country.

“Through your professional accomplishments, philanthropy, knowledge transfer, and sustained support for communities back home, you continue to project the finest values of the State of Harmony.

“I also appreciate your partnership and support for our administration’s efforts to build a more prosperous and inclusive Kwara,” he said.

He said although security challenges continue to persist, his administrator was determined to tackle the challenges.

“While our state continues to confront security challenges that are, sadly, a blowback from broader national developments, we have remained resolute in protecting our communities and advancing development.

“Together, we have made significant progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, social investment, and institutional reforms that are laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

“Without being immodest, our contributions to infrastructure growth, expansion of the civic space and the local economy, and investments in education and health care infrastructure are unrivalled since the birth of this Republic,” he said.

He expressed the belief that the next administration would continue the drive for infrastructural development.

“As you gather in fellowship and reflection, I urge you to remain united, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, and continue to place the collective interest of Kwara above every difference,” he added.

The Governor expressed the belief that a united KSANG would always be a stronger force for the progress of Kwara.
