The APC Chairmanship candidate for Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area, Hon. Sunday Ezekiel Osiako, has congratulated the indigenes of Ogori/Magongo who successfully graduated from the Forest Guard training programme after completing an intensive training exercise.
Hon. Osiako described the passing-out parade as a significant milestone in the nation’s efforts to strengthen internal security and protect communities from criminal activities.
He noted that the Forest Guard initiative is designed to reinforce Nigeria’s internal security architecture by denying terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements safe havens within forested and hard-to-reach areas.
He further observed that the graduating Forest Guards, being indigenous to their respective local government areas, possess valuable knowledge of the local terrain and enjoy the trust of their communities.
According to him, these advantages will greatly enhance their effectiveness in combating banditry, kidnapping, and the illegal exploitation of forest resources.
Hon. Osiako commended the graduates for their resilience, discipline, and commitment throughout the rigorous training programme, expressing confidence that they will discharge their responsibilities with professionalism, patriotism, and integrity.
He urged the newly graduated Forest Guards to remain vigilant, uphold the highest standards of service, and work closely with other security agencies and local communities to ensure lasting peace and security.
Hon. Osiako wished the graduates a successful and fulfilling career in their service to the nation, Kogi State and Ogori/Magongo LGA, expressing optimism that they would make Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area proud through their dedication and selfless service.
