DEPUTY SPEAKER PRESENTS JOINT COMMITTEE REPORT AT PLENARY
The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, presented the report of the House Joint Committee on Health, Judiciary, Justice and Legal Matters during plenary.
The report was on “A Bill for a Law to Provide for Free Maternal and Neonatal Health Care Services for Pregnant Women and Newborn Children in State-Owned Health Facilities in Kogi State.” 
The proposed law is aimed at reducing the financial burden of accessing essential maternal and newborn healthcare services and improving access to care for mothers and their babies across the state. The report was presented to the House for further legislative consideration.
