The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola Egwaba, has concluded her participation in the 5th Annual International Conference and Summit of the Standup for Women Society (SWS), held in Abuja from the 8th to 12th September, 2026.
The five-day conference offered participants an opportunity to learn, exchange experiences and engage with diverse perspectives on leadership, personal development, economic empowerment and the role of women in shaping society. Among the notable engagements was a session with renowned women advocate, Aisha Yesufu, which provided valuable insights and fresh perspectives.
The conference also featured an award night, celebrating and recognising individuals and organisations making meaningful contributions to women’s development, leadership and empowerment.
The Deputy Speaker described the conference as an insightful and rewarding experience, expressing confidence that the knowledge, ideas and connections gained would translate into meaningful action and contribute to creating better opportunities and improved lives for women and families.
