The Kogi State chapter of the Renewed Hope Effective Impact Generation (RHEIG) for the actualization of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo was on Saturday inaugurated at the State Secretariat Hall, Zone 8, Lokoja.
The event, which also featured the official launching of the group in the state, was held under the theme: “Effective Impact Generation for Actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.”
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Kogi State Coordinator of RHEIG, Prince Aledare Samuel Abayomi, welcomed members and guests to what he described as a holistic inauguration aimed at building a stronger grassroots structure.
“It is not only about inauguration, it is also about building a stronger grassroots structure, bringing people together, and creating a platform through which our commitment to good governance, development and democratic progress can be translated into meaningful action,” he said.
Prince Abayomi noted that the organization is founded on unity, loyalty, grassroots mobilization and effective impact, adding that it is committed to taking the message of Renewed Hope to communities, wards and polling units while encouraging constructive participation in the democratic process.
He stated that as a grassroots movement, RHEIG stands firmly with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and remains committed to supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the government of Governor Ododo.
He called on members to put the interest of the people first, respect leaders, accommodate one another and remain disciplined in their mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In his remarks, the National Coordinator of RHEIG, Engr. Okechukwu Chuckwuneye, disclosed that the organization has offices in the 36 states of the federation, stressing that the group will continue to support President Tinubu and Governor Ododo.
He appealed to members to continue to support the administration despite the situation in the country, assuring that the second term of President Tinubu will be better for Nigerians.
Also speaking, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakassi from Jos, a leader of the Tinubu Support Group, said the group is 100 percent behind President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, and appealed to citizens of Kogi State to mobilize for the realization of President Tinubu’s second term.
The event was attended by political leaders, patrons, women and youth leaders, community mobilizers and supporters.
