A prominent chieftain, political figure, retired Nigerian Navy officer, former lawmaker, Commodore Michael Folusho Daniel (Rtd), has expressed optimism that Mopamuro LGA will deliver substantial votes for Hon. Seun Ibigbemi, the candidate for House of Representatives, Yagba Federal Constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming election slated for January 16th, 2027.
Cdre. Folusho Daniel said this while reacting to the ongoing political permutations in Yagba Federal Constituency.
According to the elderstateman, he said the people of Mopamuro LGA are weary of being treated as a third fiddle in a federal constituency where they are equal partners, insisting that fairness, equity, justice, and inclusivity must prevail over self centred political ambition.
He noted with nostalgia that over the years, Mopamuro LGA has shown undiluted and indeed utmost understanding, maturity, commitment support and has always delivered votes for other local governments that made up yagba federal constituency but has not been given a fair chance to produce a representative after first shot (1999-2003) (23 years).
“I want to assure our candidate, Hon. Seun Ibigbemi, that Mopamuro will deliver a huge block votes”. There will be no division. Unit by unit, ward by ward, we will deliver. We will show that Mopamuro is ripe, ready and capable to take her place in the green chamber come 2027, he added.
Cdre. Folusho Daniel said, Mopamuro local government is unified by a strong, visible, and convincing political ideology of “Mopamuro Lokan” and particularly the candidature of Hon. Seun Ibigbemi.
He made a clarion call on all yagba sons and daughters at home and diaspora to come home and be part of history.
He concluded that Mopamuro Lokan is a movement for justice, equity and fairness in Yagba Federal Constituency.
