The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Comfort Nwuchiola Egwaba, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his victory at the tribunal.
The tribunal sitting in Abuja had dismissed the petition of the candidate of the SDP, Alhaji Murtala Yakubu, challenging the victory at Governor Ododo for alleged over voting and forgery of certificate.
The tribunal struck out the case for lacking in merit and for discrepancies in the witnesses.
Hon Comfort Nwuchiola said the judgement was an indication of thoroughness on the part of the judges. She therefore congratulated Governor Ododo on his victory, describing it as victory for the whole state.
She expressed confidence the leadership of Governor Ododo and called on the people of the state to join hands with her irrespective of regional and political differences to move the state forward.
