We have handled numerous cases on GBV cases in Kogi of over 100 cases.
Those ones that needed persecution were referred to the State Attorney General.
We have done reconciliation and mediation among others.
We are calling on the students to spread the message to their colleagues in other schools as well as the general public

So, as part of our prevention mechanism, today we inaugurated GBV club at Muslim Community as GBV Ambassadors.
We already identified two students per class class, a male and female that are well behaved, we are going to train them on GBV.
Our collaboration with NHRC is geared towards uniting all the stakeholders together to jointly tackle the issue of GBV and say no to violence against women and girls.
The Ambassadors are to be representative of the GBV that would help to checkmate and escalating any GBV incident in their various classes, schools and the society at large.
We will also add two teachers who will be trained on how to handle minor issues of GBV and escalate and refer those ones that they cant handle to the appropriate authority through the Coordinating platforms that has been created for that purpose.
The aim is to help the victims of GBV get justice
