The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo has been conferred with another prestigious Chieftaincy title as the Bashorun of Oroke Amuro, Mopamuro Local Government Area, Kogi State.
The Chieftaincy Title was conferred on the Hon. Commissioner by the Oroke Traditional Council under the leadership of His Royal Highness, Oba James Olu Alaofin, the Oloroke of Orokeland.
The Oloroke of Orokeland described Hon Fanwo as a bridge builder who has committed himself to community and human capital development.
Speaking further, Oba James Olu highlighted that Hon Fanwo-The newly installed Bashorun of Oroke, who happens to be The Oluomo of Amuroland has been contributing immensely and tremendously to the development and growth of the communities in Amuroland, adding that his efforts to ensure that the youths are educated, engaged in hardwork and gainful employment, could not be overemphasised, stressing that his efforts have been helping the youths to desist from crimes and criminalities and ensured peace and tranquillity in their communities.
The Monarch, therefore, declared that the recognition was a necessity in order to appreciate his tireless efforts and to encourage him to do more.
In his response, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo,The Bashorun of Oroke, who was ably represented by Comrade Tunde Fanwo, expressed his unreserved appreciation to the Oloroke of Orokeland, Oba James Olu Alaofin, The Traditional Council and the entire Oroke Community for the recognition and honour, pledging that he remains committed to community and human capital developments.
The Bashorun of Oroke reiterated Governor Ododo’s unwavering commitment towards infrastructural development, welfare of the civil servants, adequate support to the farmers and healthcare of the citizenry, which would cut across all sectors and communities, adding that the projects were coming in phases.
He therefore enjoined the people of the community to continue to give their adequate support to the government as dividends of democracy would be delivered adequately.
