

Kwara Gov mourns Dr. Bello, ex-IEDPU President Amb. Uthman

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed saddened over the death of a statesman and an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr. Fatai Bello.
Dr. Fatai Bello, a public intellectual from Erin Ile in Oyun Local Government Area of the state, died on Saturday Dec. 13, 2025.
Governor AbdulRazaq, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the late leader would be remembered for his principled commitment to democracy, rule of law, community service, and his positive impacts on communities and people around him.
The Governor similarly commiserates with the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressives Union (IEDPU) on the death of its former President Amb. Sheikh AbdulAzeez Uthman, fsi.
The Governor said the former IEDPU leader was a man of great character, virtues, and profound impact on the community.
Governor AbdulRazaq extended his condolences to the families of the two great men who left the world on Saturday, December 13, and would be buried today, Sunday, December 14, 2025.
He asked Allaah to ease the accounts of the two great men, admit them to al-jannah Firdaus, and give their families, associates, and friends the patience to bear these huge losses.
