Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba has declared it’s readiness to graduate a total of 26,160 students who have concluded their courses of studies during it’s combined 7th convocation ceremony holding Friday and Saturday this week.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Marietu Tenuche disclosed this on Wednesday during the pre-convocation press conference held at the premises of the institution in Anyigba.
Professor Tenuche explained that a total of 178 graduated with first class honours in the 7th combined convocation.
The Vice-Chancellor while giving the breakdown of the graduands said “The total number of graduands per session are as follows; 2020/2021 – 4,884; 2021/2022 – 4,151; 2022/2023 – 4,253 ; 2023/2024 – 7,548 and 2024/2025 – 5,324.
“The classes of the degrees are in the following order. First class – 178, second class upper – 5,653 , second class lower – 15,266 and third class is 4,891”
The Vice-Chancellor explained that on Friday 23th January 2026, the institution will have the convocation ceremony for the award of Bachelor’s Degrees.
She added that the ceremonies will be capped on Saturday 24th January, 2026 with commissioning of projects and convocation of higher degrees and conferment of honorary degrees to deserving individuals.
She however noted that the political will demonstrated by both the immediate past visitor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the current visitor, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo paved rooms for the numerous achievements the institution has recorded in the last ten years.
“As Vice-Chancellor, I firmly believe that true transformation is not measured by the challenges a leader faces, but by how much better an institution becomes under that leadership.
“Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba is on a steady upward trajectory, and our administration has been very committed to sustaining this progress” she stated.
