OMALA LGA CONSTITUTES II-MAN HIGH POWERED COMMITTEE ON BAGANA UPHEAVAL.
In avowed readiness to bring to an end the communal crises rocking Bagana Community in Omala local government Area,a high powered eleven Man Committee headed by Colonel Babawa Suleiman RTD has established with herculean task to come up with useful suggestions and recommendations that will serve as a pathway for amiable resolution of the upheaval.
While inaugurating the all important Committee at Abejukolo-Ife headquarters of the Council, the executive Chairman of the Council, Chief Yakubu Aboh asked the inaugurated Committee members to fashioned out workable solutions through thorough search in finding the immediate and remote causes of the crises.
The eleven Man Committee which was given three weeks to summit its reports to the Council for appropriate actions as the following has it terms of reference
”To critically examine the issues in Bagana which have proned the commercial town and surrounding Communities to crisis”.
” To recommend measures that can bring lasting and sustainable peace to Bagana town and its environs.
”And to do anything necessary to bring peace back to Bagana and its environs”.
The Chairman of the Eleven Members Committee , Colonel Baganawa Rtd, Commended the council Chairman,Chief Yakubu Aboh for taking the appropriate steps by setting up the Committee asserting that crisis is ever a new thing in Nigeria.
He promised to carry out a thorough job that will lead to a lasting solutions.
”Bagana is a commercial centre that attract neighbouring States and Communities as well as fast tracking businesses have been halted due to the upheaval.
Other Members of the committee are, AIG Abdulsalami RTD, Chief Steve Shaibu ,Dr. Simeon Oyigu , Colonel Paul Baba,and Ademu Ibrahim .
Others are Omala Local government Police Divisional Officer, Department of State Security ,Chief P.E Achor , Barrister Emmanuel Maji , while Chief Jibrin Joseph is to serve as Secretary of the Eleven Man Committee.
