No fewer than 40,000 registered farmers and their households in Kwara State have pledged their unwavering support for the re- election of President Bola Tinubu, and the senatorial bid of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as well as the gubernatorial ambition of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi – Salihu.

The farmers announced their decision to support the trio of Tinubu, AbdulRazaq and Danladi in the 2027 general elections during a media parley on Monday in Ilorin, the state capital.

They also promised to work for all the other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State before and during the general elections.

The Chairman of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Kwara State chapter, Mallam Shuaib Ajibola and AFAN Coordinator in the state, Alhaji AbdulRahman Babatunde spoke with newsmen on behalf of their members.

The duo were flanked by other executive members of AFAN during the media briefing.

The farmers said the decision to give their maximum support to the three candidates was borne out of Governor AbdulRazaq’s great impacts and people-oriented policies and programmes aimed at boosting agriculture productivity and income in the State.
