The immediate past Special Adviser to the kogi State Governor on Assembly and Legislative Matters, Barrister Yusuf Okpanachi Haruna, has expressed confidence that the 7th assembly will make laws that beneficial to the growth of the state.
He stated while interacting with assembly press corps in lokoja.
He said the assembly has shown commitment to legislative business owing to the quality of laws and motions being passed.
Barrister Haruna also called for continued synergy between the legislature and executive arms of government noting that the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello was desirous of improving the wellbeing of the citizenry through the enactment of good and people oriented laws.
He thanked the assembly press corps for standing by hin when he was in office.
Barrister explained that their professional conduct in reporting activities of the house helped in stabilising the assembly especially during the period of crisis in the house.
He also used the opportunity to express gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy Chief Edward Onoja for the opportunity given him to serve the state.
