BRIEF PROFILE OF ALHAJI TAUFIQ A. ISA
Hon. Taufiq Aliu Isa is an epitome of humanitarian services,Who was born on 24th December, 1964 into the family of late Alhaji and Mrs. Isa Aliyu Elewonibi of Odokoro Gbede,Ijumu Local Government, Kogi state.
He attended Demonstration ILGEA primary school Odokoro Gbede in 1971-1977.
He proceeded to Islamic and Arabic Secondary school Lokoja, where he got his O’ Level, He gained an admission into Institute of Islamic and Arabic Kano.
When he chooses politics as a career he proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Idah where he acquired his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Public Administration, 2001/2005 respectively.
He is currently running his B. Science in Political science at National Open University.
Hon Taufiq Isa has a working experience that spans over 40 years in various places and capacities, notable among them are :As a Unionist,he was the former National President Odokoro Gbede Social Club for many years and a Secretary General Muslim Society of Nigeria, Kano State chapter. He worked with Sterling Civil Engineering,a construction company comprising Kano/Jigawa State and became their branch Union Chairman. As a business man,he was the Managing Director Solo-Mich Royal Company Nig.Limited Obajana. He joined politics in the year 1999 and won a councillorship ticket of Okoro/Odokoro /Araromi ward in the year 2007 and served as the chief whip of the legislative council of the Local Government. He became the All Progressives Congress party (APC) pioneer Chairman,Ijumu Local Government area of Kogi State.
He was appointed as the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government and Chairman Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON),Kogi State and ALGON National Legal Adviser.
Hon.Taufiq was the immediate past Senior Special Assistant on Security to the Executive Governor of Kogi State and currently the APC Chairmanship consensus candidate of Ijumu Local Government in the forthcoming council election.
