Gov. aide visits kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission

As part of the efforts of Kogi State Government to strengthen the state Legislature as a bulwark of democracy,the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Legislative matters,Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa has reiterated the commitment of the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to the growth and development of the state Assembly.

Hon. Musa disclosed this while on familiarisation visit to Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission Office in Lokoja.

Hon. Musa assured the Commission of the State Government continued support and his determination to work with the Assembly Service Commission in order to ensure effective performance of Legislative functions in the State House of Assembly.

In his welcome address,the Chairman of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Abdulmalik commended him for his visit and described him as a Legislative Icon.

Alhaji Andas enumerated some challenges facing the State House of Assembly. According to him,basic infrastructures such as office accommodation for lawmakers and office facilities for staff of the Commission amongst others.

The Commission Chairman appreciated the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his commitment to the growth and development of the Legislature adding that he has ensured that the relationship between the state Government and other arms of the Government has been cordial .

Alhaji Andas stated that he has no doubt that this cordial relationship will be sustained to enable the State move to the next level in order for the people of the State to fully benefit from dividends of democracy.

Highlights of the Special Adviser to the State Governor,Hon.Musa visit was on the spot assessment of the Commission Offices and visit to the Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Amoka.

Those who were on ground to welcome the State Governor’ aide were the Chairman of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Permanent members,Secretary of the Commission, Management and staff of the Commission.
