The Executive Chairman of Kogi state Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Suleiman Abdullahi Ndalaya says the board will be carrying out perimeter fencing of some of it’s primary schools across the state to secure and stop encroachment by unauthorized persons into the school lands.
Mallam Ndalaya stated this while defending the boards twenty twenty four budget estimate before the house committee on education, science and technology at the assembly complex in Lokoja.
He said the encroachment had become a thing of concern as the communities would hide under the guise that they gave the lands for the construction of the schools and now they want to use part of the land.
He also explained that the board in the incoming year would focus on the training and retraining of it’s teachers for better and qualitative teaching.
Mallam Ndalaya said the board would be engaging in awareness campaign to communities where it has structures to sensitize them on the need to take ownership of such structures and not to allow them to be vandalized.
He urged primary school teachers to continue to perceiver as better days are coming.
