*THREE STUDENTS GET SENATOR OSENI’S SCHOLARSHIP TO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

In a bid to inculcate the spirit of effective and focused learning amongst young children in his constituency, Senator Yakubu Oseni has granted scholarship to three outstanding pupils of LGEA Demonstration Standard Nursery/Primary School, Okene.

The pupils are Ozoiza Firdaus Samari, Zafirah Abdulmumuni and Ize Naima Momoh.

The beneficiaries who were selected through rigorous academic exercise and screening have gained admission into Nigerian Tulip International College, Kaduna, and have had their school fees completely paid upfront to the anticipated six years.

While commending the parents of the beneficiaries for their unrelenting effort in making their children’s education a top priority, the lawmaker who is the chairman, Senate Committee on ICT/Cybercrime noted that the scholarship was meant to inspire other children to be more focused in their academic pursuit.

Senator Oseni argued that the best approach to secure the future of this country is to continuously encourage pupils and students who distinguished themselves academically, revealing that he had prior to becoming a lawmaker, vowed to aid children who exhibit exceptional qualities to pursue their careers in formal education.

“As parents, we must as a matter of obligation, invest in our children’s education. Education is the indisputable mechanism through which the minds of our children could be refined thoroughly. When their minds are refined, their potential to make impressionable mark in their generation is equally enhanced,” the lawmaker enlightened.

It would be recalled that last year, Senator Oseni out of rare magnanimity and love for education, paid for about five hundred scholarship forms for pupils in his constituency. Three out of them (as earlier mentioned) came out in flying colours but unfortunately, the management of Nigerian Tulip International College, Kaduna, could not continue with the scholarship arrangement as a result of the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.

It is as a result of this that Senator Oseni timely intervened and took charge of the scholarship which he financed in order to prevent the pupils forfeiting a life time opportunity.
