In an effort to revive and revamp the ailing standard of education in Ibaji local government area, stakeholders and well-meaning leaders of thought, have set up a committee to work out necessary strategies to right the wrongs of the past in the education sector.
The committee was inaugurated by the Ejeh of Ibaji and Chairman, Ibaji Traditional Council, Chief John Odiche Egwemi. While inaugurating the committee, the traditional ruler urged the committee members to be committed and selfless in the course of discharging their duties.
Chief Egwemi also tasked the committee to look at the most appropriate academic calendar that will enable the Ibaji pupils to study effectively and seamlessly, considering the nature of Ibaji terrain.
The committee comprises representatives of Ibaji Local Government Council, Ibaji Traditional Council, Ibaji Development Association, Ibaji Development Association Youth wing, Council of Gagos, LGEA, and Former Education Secretary was saddled with the responsibility of repositioning the education sector in Ibaji.
The committee is further expected to come up with the best approach that will lead to the revival of education in Ibaji, especially the primary school level.
The initiative is part of the follow-up and implementation of workable strategies in revitalizing the education sector in Ibaji. The resolution was reached a few weeks after the Ibaji Town Hall meeting in honor of the Deputy Speaker and Member Representing Ibaji Constituency, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Nwuchiola Egwaba by the people of Ibaji.
