The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu, has supported people ravaged by flood in Edeha Community of Kogi LGA with cash sum and roofing sheets worth millions of Naira.
The Commissioner made the donation while on a visit to the community, urged them to rebuild their houses as well as relocate to higher ground.
Engr. Bashiru donated cash support of N.5million to the Edeha community as well as roofing sheets worth millions of Naira as an alternative measure for those ravage by flood to rebuild their houses.
He sympathised with those affected, assured that efforts to provide long term measures and support for them is on the way by the relevant agencies.
Similarly, the Commissioner in the early hours of today also supported KG State Vigilantee Services and Hunters Group with N1m as morale booster. The Commissioner said the support to the Vigilantee and hunters is to enable them discharge their responsibilities.
He commended the men for showing courage in the discharge of their duties in securing lives and properties in the Local Government.
