Kwarapoly Mourns Former Rector Sa’adu Stephen Olufemi Oni, Ilorin

The Rector of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed has extended the heartfelt condolences of the entire Polytechnic community to the family of late Engr. Dr. Abdullahi Saadu, a former Rector of the Polytechnic.

The Rector in a statement by the Polytechnic Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Halimat Garba, described the demise of the former Rector as a tremendous loss, not only to his family but also to the institution.

Engr. Abdul, who said that the institution has lost a great leader, stressed that late Engr. Sa’adu was a disciplinarian who set high standards for the institution, adding that “his commitment and dedication to the Polytechnic were evident in every project he undertook. He worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the institution, and his contributions will always be remembered.”

Engr. Abdullahi Saad, who also held the position of commissioner within the state, was known for his tireless efforts to enhance the quality of education and service to humanity.

His leadership style was characterised by a focus on excellence, innovation, and the betterment of both students and staff, the statement added.

The Rector prayed that Almighty Allah grants the deceased eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
