The Ata Igala, HRM Matthew Opaluwa Oguche has decorated Chief Mrs. Martha Astiangbe as the IYE IGALA GENERAL LAGOS STATE and OMIAKELE ATA IGALA at Ata palace Idah with a charge to her to be proactive in the defense of Igala people interest and attract developmental projects to Igala Kingdom.
The Ata Igala used the occasion to preach love and peaceful coexistence of all Igala son’s and daughters anywhere they found themselves. The Royal father then reminded Iye Igala General LAGOS State and Omiakele Ata Igala to work assiduously to bring sons and daughters in Lagos State together where they should speak in one voice as a people. He maintained that the peace and progress of Igalaland should be paramount importance to all Igalas both at home and in diaspora. The Ata Igala who was emphatic that Chief. Mrs. Martha Astiangbe will not derail in the task ahead, reminded her that the Ata palace remains open for her anytime she is in the kingdom for constructive dialogue on ways to move Igala Kingdom forward. He called on Igalas to remain steadfast in their chosen careers to better their lots, Igalas and the kingdom. In her remark, the Iye Igala General LAGOS State and Omiakele Ata Igala appreciated Ata Igala for considering her worthy to serve in the present capacities and restated her commitment to be vanguard of peace worthy of emulation by all sons and daughters of the kingdom. She said that her coming on board as chieftaincy title holder in Igalaland will spur her to continue to exhibit good leadership qualities which are pointers to successful life. Chief Martha Astiangbe called on sons and daughters of Igala Kingdom to be their brothers keeper in whatever they do for the peace, progress and development of the area. The salutation ADEEBU rented the air as a mark respect to the new Iye Igala General LAGOS State and Omiakele Ata Igala.
